K ignore what i said i was thinking of something else, aslong as you set passwords for everything then the directory /xampp (if you still kept that name) will need a password, if anyone did come across that directory.

Remember you can add or rename folders to make new directorys (/whatever) and add new content inside. 127.0.0.1/XAMPP/ WILL be seen if you dont change the password,also the FTP client,You should really change the password if you have it enabled as in 127.0.0.1/XAMPP/img they show a picture of the default password of the ftp client you downloaded.So, yah.

are you sure your running the apache server? If you aren't running the server with php then it won't be able to interpret the php and will just output the text. If using windows install xamp (read about it as it can be tricky at first) if using mac install mamp if using linux install lamp
