Hey this is my first tutorial in Sony Vegas Pro 8.0, I still have Sony Vegas 7 installed so I will do tutorials on both now. You will learn to use this new effect in Sony Vegas 8: ProType Titler Create animated text effects with splined paths, per-character animation, and advanced curves. Add sha
dows, glows, blurs, and gradients for unique text treatments. Supports Unicode and TrueType fonts, as well as OpenType fonts with kerning pairs, alternate styles, bidirectional text, ligatures, custom kerning, and more. If you have any tips for other people learning sony vegas 8 please comment them

haha i had the same exact problem... what it is is that the thing popping up is the window that you are looking for just that the crop box part of it is taking up the whole window, so use the mouse and in the window find the double bar arrow thingy where you can move lines and make certain parts take up more or less room, then just move the crop box area down smaller.

its prolly because the format is incompatible with vegas but to solve it as far as i know all u have to do is convert it (video converter master) is a great program and easy to use to do the job just convert it to any other format that vegas does support like avi or mvw something like that i am also as much newb as u r in vegas so i cant rlly explain much
