There is a cut at 6:32. I remember a scene where one of the nephews (forgot which one) unplugged the robot from the wall; that's what caused it to fail.

But I guess it's Barks' opinion that would count more.
I haven't had much luck in trying to find out what Barks thought of DuckTales. I imagine he didn't care for it much, simply because compared to his stories, it's really watered down and "kiddified". But I haven't seen anything that mentions his opinion one way or the other. Oh, and Alan Young a

Interesting you should mention TinTin. Both Herge (TinTin's creator) and Carl Barks (who created the whole Uncle Scrooge/Duckburg/adventurer scenario) are often ranked as two of the greatest comic artists of the 20th century.

I'm very fond of both! Their stories were a big part of my childhood. I used to have a HUGE Donald Duck book which had most of the precursors to Duck Tales (the original comics).
