A classic episode but it's just missing something. The Valley of the Golden Suns sounded really cool when it was first mentioned but we don't see much of it other than the temple. It's still cool but wished there was more than just a temple of gold. It needed something else. I don't like the lack of explanation for El Capitan's longevity. It was the earlier episodes buildup that made the conclusion sort of disappointing. I expected more...

I think the very first mention of the book was in the first or second episode when Scrooge was having fun throwing solicitors/salesmen out of his office and the leader of the troup said it was a good way of keeping kid out of mischief and he thought it was "cheaper than boarding school"

Ain't nothing wrong with cg cartoons. BAD cg cartoons, however, are another story. And that's all we seem to get lately. Just as with drawn animation, if you don't have a good story and engaging characters, ya got nothing.
(I still love hand-drawn best, though.)

So that's why gold is so rare. Those guys dug it all up and hid it in the jungle! Fun fact: most of Earth's heavy metals reside in it's core. And while it's just a small percentage of the total mass, it contains enough gold to cover the whole planet with a layer one meter thick. (Though, thankfully, Scrooge hasn't found that out, or he'd probably try to dig his way down there.) Also, I love how sheer, bare-face, eye-gleaming GREED can apparently keep you alive for hundreds of years. XD
